52 Books in 52 Weeks Plus Book 1 Fluency Made Achievable

I'm participating!

It's been awhile since I joined in a reading challenge.  I'm excited to join in this year, and look forward to the camaraderie of others who love words.

In preparation for joining the 52 Books in 52 Weeks challenge this year, I asked Santa to bring me a long list of books.  He came through with many, and I can't wait to dive in.

I did get a bit of a head start by listening to the audiobook Fluency Made Achievable by Kerstin Hammes.  I have been enjoying Kerstin's podcast, The Fluent Show, and decided to give her book a go.  I really enjoyed it, and it gave me lots to think about as well as many tips and strategies to use in my learning journey.  I definitely recommend it if you are learning a language, and feel like you can't quite get a plan together.  (Um... ME)

As for the rest of the year, I have started a shelf on Goodreads to help me stay organized.  As I come across books I might like to read this year, I just pop them on the "shelf" so as not to forget them.  Seeing as how I already have 21 books on it, and it is only three days into January, my enthusiasm for the challenge may prove to be more than my capabilities to read through everything I want to.  Well, any that are left waiting on the shelf can always be held over for next year's challenge.  Right?

Until next time, happy reading!

  1. Yeah. Glad you are diving back in. Santa was very good to you. What language are you working on learning? My wishlists get really long during the year as well. Plus my books keep have babies. Attempted to whittle down the stack this year. Happy New Year!

    1. Glad to be back! I'm working on Korean. My problem from high school French has not left me after all these years. Memorizing vocabulary is my Achilles heel.

Yes to all the book babies! LOL. And a wonderful New Year to you, too!
